Why is the reason something happened

When: We are not certain of an exact time but scripture says, "In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee a word came to John the Baptist. Luke 3:1-2
Where: Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1)
Why: To Save People from their sins (Matthew 1:21)
